Throughout the world, we’re known as the leading designer and builder of containers that maximize performance while minimizing costs. We carefully blend functionality, durability, and cost control into each solution. No matter the challenge, we have the designers, engineers, and testing expertise to improve performance and increase confidence.
Testing
Our dedicated state-of-the-art, in-house testing facilities are staffed by leaders in the industry. Our I.S.T.A. and ASTM certified testing lab in Georgia is one of the country’s largest, offering large package testing for compression, incline and impact, rotary motion and vibration for products up to 50,000 lbs. Our I.S.T.A. package testing lab in Michigan is a state-of-the-art facility equipped to handle everything from large wood shipping crates and pallets to corrugated boxes and composite packaging solutions. At both facilities, professional engineers and packaging specialists test packaged products in a simulated distribution environment to ensure they meet the right hazard standards. In addition to ensuring the packaging is effective, our testing can be used as part of a design validation process that optimizes the packaging. If you change your packaging, our testing can validate your decisions before the new packaging is in the distribution system, avoiding costly product returns and embarrassing redesign failures. If your packaged product survives our simulated distribution environment, it is ready for the real world.
ISO
As part of our commitment to exceptional quality and customer service, UFP Industrial has facilities that are ISO 9001 certified. The certification means these facilities can meet the necessary regulatory requirements because they have established processes that ensure effective resource management, consistent quality, efficiency, and thorough records management and analysis.
Inventory Management Programs
UFP Industrial provides vendor managed inventory (VMI) programs that enable customers to free up space for expansion, reduce inventory management inefficiencies and improve profitability. Our facilities can store a predetermined amount of inventory for customers and provide them with prompt and reliable shipment or pick-up as needed. Our programs also allow customers to store inventory at locations they specify, only to be invoiced for products drawn from that inventory on a weekly basis.
These programs help ensure our customers have the service, product and quality they need, when they need it.
